Explore Greece

| Sunday, January 31, 2010
If there is a place here on earth which I particularly want to explore the most, it would be GREECE.

I am really into the Ancient Greek culture because for me, it is very interesting and I know it has a lot to offer to me.

One place in Greece I’ll particularly visit often when I am given the chance to visit Greece is Athens. I want to see the old temples built from the ancient times especially Parthenon, I want to know more about their gods and goddesses, their kings and queens, their language their culture and basically everything about the ancient Greek.

Ooohhh… I really can’t wait to explore Greece. I hope I can do it SOON.

The Greatest Dessert

|
Sahara desert a.k.a "The Greatest Desert" is not only the biggest desert in the world. It also serves as Algeria’s most visited tourist spot.

Sahara desert is the main tourist attraction of Algeria. It has a variety of landscapes - deserts, dunes, meadows, forests etc. along with many beautiful beaches and also it has one of the finest Roman ruins in the world and old Arabic cities. Over 30,000 petroglyphs of river animals such as crocodiles survive, with half found in the Tassili n'Ajjer in southeast Algeria. Fossils of dinosaurs, including Afrovenator, Jobaria and Ouranosaurus, have also been found here.

Ahhagar Mountains are also located here in the Sahara desert. It is a group of mountains consisting of volcanic rocks rising from the barren planes of Sahara with an average height of 900 meters. Also, a number of oases are found here.

Those were only few of the known tourist spot in Algeria. It is nice to know that even a desert cannot be deserted.

The land of Japan

| Monday, January 25, 2010
I have a dream to be one of those who were able to climb Mount Everest. But I know that I can't do that so I changed my target. From Mt. Everest to Mt. Fuji. Mt. Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan and it was said that watching sunrise and sunset at Mt. Fuji is a different experience. And that is what I want. Mount Fuji is blooming with cherry blossom trees and a shinkansen in the foreground—all three are iconic of Japan (from Wikipedia.com). I really love Japan, specially the Japanese skin and also the Korean's.

Kings and Queens

|
Spain is famous for its history and culture. One thing I like about Spain are the castles built for their kings and queens. When I visited the Alcázar of Segovia, I was really astonished by how huge and elegant that castle is. At the time I was there, I was imagining I am also a king living in a castle like that with lots of servants and with every good things found in life.

I really haven't seen real kings and queens. I think, they are the most rich people. They live in castles and rule a country. Wow.

Cape Verde archipelago

| Sunday, January 24, 2010
Cape Verde archipelago is located 604 kilometers (375 mi) off the coast of West Africa. My Uncle once worked in this place and he always tells us about the culture and history of the Cape Verdeans. He particularly like their music which they call morna, a melancholy and lyrical song form typically sung in Cape Verdean Creole. He tells me that is really nice to the ears and at times, people there dance into that tune.

With regards to food, corn is said to be their staple food in Cape Verde. And the National dish is Cachupa. They also eat rice and meat and vegetables. Wow.

Bahamas Wow Seafoods

|
The Bahamas Island is a popular tourist destination especially on summer. Another famous thing regarding Bahamas is their delicious cuisine. The Bahamas are the delight of fresh seafood lovers who enjoy the bountifully rich treasures from the sea. Crawfish (local rock lobster) conch (pronounced 'konk'), land crabs, and fish such as Grouper, Yellow Tail and Red Snapper are local and tourist favorites. A typical Bahamian meal consists of crab and rice, delicious steamed fish, served with baked macaroni and cheese and a good helping of potato salad.

Oh! Beaches

| Saturday, January 16, 2010
Swimming for me is the best way to celebrate my vacation. In Algeria, my cousin, Nicole lives there. The hotel where she lives has a swimming pool in it. Wow. I stayed there for a week and I enjoyed the vacation. The bedroom is very clean. It is painted well. It is very beautiful. The bed is very soft. Nice bedroom. If given the chance, I would like to live there.

Every lunch, we eat delicious foods such as scallops, lobster, crayfish, and tuna. I enjoyed the food. I saw pastries for sale. I love pastries so I asked my cousin to buy me some. Wow. Thanks, Nicole! You made my vacation great!

Beach Life...

| Saturday, January 9, 2010
Would you guys love to live near the beach? Yes! For me that is absolutely Yes! I would like to live near the beach. I love beaches. So this means, I would swim everyday. Do snorkeling and kayaking everyday! Wow! It feels like everyday is a vacation. Me and my honey would enjoy the beach together. I can also teach him how to swim since he doesn't know how.

I would also really love to sunbathe. I would love to make my white skin a tan one! Wow! How I wish I can live near the beach. Instead of watching TV here in my condo, I think I would like to surf the net for the best vacation places to go to this summer!

Asian-ic

Martha, a friend of mine went home from a vacation. She told me lots and lots of stories from her vacation at Bali. They said it was the largest tourist destination in Indonesia. I was really amazed on how she told me her experiences at that place. But I proved to myself that the place really is amazing when I saw her pictures and videos. Because of Martha, I learned more about Bali's culture and I met the Bali's animals. They have many species of birds. I also saw a huge photo of the Bali Tiger which is said to be extinct because of hunting. Tsk. It's so sad to know about it.

I love to visit that place someday.

There are many places all over the world that are very ideal for vacation. Vacation! It is the best way to escape tiredness. De-stress!

Same Ground

| Thursday, January 7, 2010
One time, while my parents and I took a walk when we were having our vacation at downtown Scottsdale, Arizona we happened to pass by a gated community of Ancala, which is located in the rolling foothills of the McDowell Mountains. I don't know what it is but it really attracted me. I mean, the place is so nice plus the great scenery accompanying it?! Who wouldn't be attracted to experience living there! :)

When we got home, Dad talked to me and he asked me if I could build them a house at that exact place. I didn't have second thoughts and I immediately said 'YES'. Now, Dad and Mom is living there and I am planning to move there soon. :)

I'd be happy to be there in summer vacation, too!
